Tell us what hardware you're streaming to. Get a practical Moonlight starting configuration, the tradeoffs to watch, and a troubleshooting path that fits your setup.
Streaming settings depend on the client, display, network and host software. We connect those dots, then give you a plan you can actually test.

RECOMMENDED STARTING POINT
Suggested bitrates are deliberately conservative starting points, at or below Moonlight’s own 60 fps defaults (20/40/80 Mbps for 1080p/1440p/4K).
Verify each individual setup task, tell us what happened, and get the next appropriate test, including isolating input lag across the PC, client, controller and TV. No blind driver changes. Beta challenge feedback, detailed task progress, test results, manually recorded stutter episodes, latency isolation answers and streaming statistics are stored on this device where browser storage is available.
Private by design: this beta does not transmit your answers anywhere. The exports stay on your device. Share reports exclude free-text notes by default; always review its preview before sharing. Links to official documentation require an internet connection. An exported diagnostic report may contain setup details; review it before sharing.
Includes a local 10-minute user-testing challenge with optional feedback export. Offers rules-based starting settings, detailed setup micro-checklists, outcome-driven troubleshooting, user-entered Moonlight performance comparisons, a manual stutter episode logger, and guided single-variable experiments, plus an eight-question latency isolation wizard. Saves progress locally where supported; exports a detailed or share-ready report, plus an opt-in, 10-minute beta challenge for manual validation.
It cannot run experiments or benchmark a network automatically, detect stutters automatically, read Moonlight statistics, inspect hardware or host logs, change settings, or guarantee a fix. Performance figures must be entered by the user.
